Vincent Rodgers is a St. Louis native and professor at the University of Iowa. He earned a B.S. in physics and mathematics with a minor in computer science from the University of Dayton, and a Ph.D. in theoretical particle physics from Syracuse University under Prof. A.P. Balachandran, with postdoctoral work at the University of Florida and the Yang Institute for Theoretical Physics at Stony Brook University. His research spans topological solitons, string theory, and supergravity. 

At Iowa, he is part of the Nuclear and Particle Physics group and leads the Diffeomorphisms and Geometry group, focusing on gravitational and particle theory. He has advised several Ph.D. students and is a mentor for several undergraduate students. Vincent’s identical twin, Victor Rodgers, is a bioengineering professor at UC Riverside.
